Nairobi, Kenya – May 14, 2025

The just-concluded Nairobi County Web3 & Blockchain Bootcamp Award Ceremony marked the triumphant end of a three-day intensive innovation program aimed at nurturing the next generation of blockchain developers. Hosted by MUIAA Labs in collaboration with the Nairobi City County Government and Computer Aid International, the event brought together 28 of Nairobi’s brightest young minds to explore the transformative potential of blockchain technology in solving real-world challenges. The event was held at Gem Suites Lavington with many invited guests and contestants in attendance.

A Platform for Young Blockchain Visionaries

The bootcamp that was held from April 23rd to 25th, 2025, provided participants with hands-on training in Web3 and blockchain development, equipping them with the skills needed to build decentralized solutions. The program’s core theme—empowering young, upcoming blockchain developers—was evident as participants engaged in workshops, mentorship sessions, and collaborative problem-solving exercises.

On the final day, the budding innovators were tasked with identifying pressing issues facing Nairobi County and Kenya at large and proposing blockchain-based solutions. Seven teams pitched their ideas before a distinguished panel of judges, with only three advancing to the next phase of the competition.
